We are hiring up to two (2) Parks Labourer  for the upcoming 2026 season:

 

  • Two (2) positions:         May 4, 2026 – August 28, 2026

 

Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm

Position Summary: 

As a member of the Landscape team, the Parks Labourer reports to the Landscape Coordinator and is responsible for providing seasonal assistance in the upkeep and maintenance of the Chestermere Parks. 

 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Perform physical labour including bike park maintenance, irrigation repair, amenity construction and landscape projects
  • General daily maintenance of parks including weeding and litter picking 
  • Provide assistance to other departments or employees as needed.
  • Ensure the duties and responsibilities as outlined are completed in the most efficient, effective and safe manner.
  • Responsible for using confidential information appropriately and maintaining the confidentiality and security of all information related to the city.
  • Demonstrates city values of Collaboration, Humour and Fun, Integrity, Professionalism, and Accountability.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Grade 10 or equivalent.

Location: Community Operations 

Compensation: Pay Grade will be determined by position placement.

Pay: Level 1 $18.00/hr - $22.00/hr. (you'll find detailed information in Appendix A of the draft collective agreement)

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Start Date: May 4 – End Date: August 28 subject to change
